  Deleting Netscape Messages

Messages should be deleted from your system periodically.  This helps to create space on your system as well as making your e-mail more secure.  Remember that e-mail is downloaded to your PC when you connect to Netscape Messenger.

To delete your messages from the Inbox, follow the steps below.

After you have logged on to your Netscape e-mail, click on the desired messages to delete as in the screen sample below.

  ·        Tip:  Click on multiple messages with the Ctrl+Click combination.  Press the Ctrl key on your keyboard while you point and click on the desired messages to delete as in the sample below.

4.  Press the Delete Button below from the Netscape toolbar or the delete button on the keyboard to delete the messages from the Inbox.  The messages will delete from the Inbox window and will automatically be sent to the Trash folder.

***Note- this does not delete the messages from your hard drive, it simply moves them to the trash folder.

To delete the messages from your Trash folder and the hard drive continue as below.

6.      Click on the File, Empty Trash on Local Mail option to delete the messages.
