Internet -Netscape

 Due to Middlesex County College receiving the “MiddlesexCC.edu” domain name, the email address format for the college will change.

Old format: John_Doe@middlesex.cc.nj.us <mailto:John_Doe@middlesex.cc.nj.us>

New format: John_Doe@middlesexcc.edu <mailto:John_Doe@middlesexcc.edu>

Users entered into the system after January 28, 2002 will have only the new email address format. The old email address will continue to work for an indefinite period of time for users added to the email system before Janaury 28, 2002.  This will allow for a smooth transition over to the new address.  Users of Netscape email are encouraged to change their email preferences to reflect their new address

 Users who subscribe to listservs are encouraged to check with their listservs administration to inquire as to how to change their address on the listserv. This will prevent problems when attempting to post with the new address.

 To change your preferences in Netscape so that recipients of your e-mail see your new address:

• Open Netscape E-Mail
• Left click on Edit
• Left click on Preferences

• Left click on Identity (If Identity does not appear under the Mail and Newsgroups category, left click on Mail & Newsgroups to expand the folder).
• In the Email address field type your firstname_lastname@middlesexcc.edu

Example: john_doe@middlesexcc.edu

• Left click OK
