Moving Around in Word Documents Working on a long document? Did you know… that instead of pressing PgUp, PgDn or clicking the scroll bar to skip around in the document, you can easily mark locations using bookmarks. To set a bookmark in a document, follow the steps below: 1. Click in the document location to mark with a bookmark. For example, page 9 of a 10 page document. 2. Select the Insert, Bookmark menu option (or press Ctrl+Shift+F5). The bookmark dialog box below will display.
4. Click the Add button. The bookmark will be added to the document.
Here's one way to goto a bookmark in a Word document.
1. Click the Edit, Go To menu option.
2. From the Go To tab, click on Bookmark.
3. Select the bookmark name such as “next” below.
4. Click the Go To button outlined above to move to the document location.
Tip: You could also return to the Insert, Bookmark menu option, and double-click the bookmark to go to the specified document location.
