Did you know that you could preview a document in Word before opening it?

 Here's how:

 1.                  Select File, Open or click the Open shortcut button from the Standard Toolbar.

 2.         Select the File from the required folder such as c:\My Documents as noted below.

 3.                  Click the Preview button as outlined below.  The dialog box will display a preview of the selected document.

 4.         Click Open to open the Previewed document.

  Note:  Any file you choose on the left side is previewed on the right.  Continue clicking on other documents if the currently selected one is not correct.
