Formatting
Shortcut The F4 key is a quick way to repeat a formatting command. For example, type the following sentence: The quick brown cow jumped over the lazy dog. Left click twice anywhere in the word "quick to select it. On the formatting toolbar click on the "B" to bold the word. Place the cursor anywhere in the word "jumped" and hit the F4 key. Place the cursor anywhere in the word "dog" and hit the F4 key.
The
bold is repeated. If you
had chosen to underline then that would have been repeated.
The F4 key replicates the last format command that was given.
Consequently, if you bold and underline it will only underline.
If you underline and italicize it will only italicize, etc.
