Visiting Students
Visiting students are an active part of our community every semester. You are a visiting student if you are currently matriculated at another college or university and wish to attend Middlesex County College on a temporary basis. If you are a Middlesex resident you may take courses here at a fraction of the cost of your home school while at home on summer or winter break. Getting enrolled as a visiting student is easy. Please follow the steps below to insure an easy enrollment process.
- When filling out your online application, select “Visiting Student” as your major. If you apply online your application will be received by the Office of Admissions and processed and you will be admitted to the college within 48 hours. If you apply by mail the process may take longer.
- After you submit your application, ask your home college to provide a Visiting Student Letter granting you permission to enroll in a specific course(s) at Middlesex County College. This letter exempts you from the placement test for the semester in which you are applying and allows you to register for classes.
- Complete the registration form. IMPORTANT: Don’t forget to indicate the section number along with the course code (ex: BIO 111-C2). We cannot process your registration without a section number.
- Mail, fax or bring the registration form along with the Visiting Student Letter to the Registrar’s Office in Chambers Hall. The fax number is 732.906.7785. Mail-in registrations should be addressed to Office of the Registrar, Middlesex County College, 2600 Woodbridge Avenue, Edison, NJ 08818.
- Your schedule and bill will be sent to you.
- If you would like to meet with an academic advisor, stop by the Advising Center, located on the main floor of Chambers Hall or e-mail at advising@middlesexcc.edu
