HOPE Scholarship

Your education at Middlesex County College could become an even better value if you qualify for the new HOPE Scholarship that is part of the Taxpayer Relief Act of 1997.  This scholarship provides tax savings up to $1,500 per year for the first two years of post-secondary education for eligible students or their parents.  The tax credit on a federal income tax return could be 100 percent of the first $1,000 spent on tuition and fees and 50 percent of the second $1,000 spent.
