Middlesex County College welcomes adult learners. There are many different kinds of adult students attending Middlesex County College. Some of our adult learners are students who
- Wish they attended college right out of high school but did not
- Started college but would like to complete a degree and work in a new field
- Wish to upgrade skills for a promotion at work
It’s easy to get started. Just follow these simple steps to get enrolled.
- Submit the application with a $25 application fee. The quickest and easiest way is to apply online. Click here for our application.
- Have an official copy of your high school transcript sent to the Admissions Office, or, if you have a GED, have those scores sent to the Admissions Office. If you have attended college previously you should also have your transcript sent from your prior college. Prior college credit may transfer and may exempt you from placement testing.
- If you have never been to college before and you want to enroll in a major you will need to take our College Placement Test. If you have taken the test here before you do not have to take it again. The Encore Learning Institute offers courses created for the adult leaner to help prepare for the College Placement Test.
- Apply for financial aid. It is recommended that any student interested in receiving financial aid for the fall 2007 semester apply on line as soon as possible at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Tuition is due the day your register for classes. Payment plans are available. You should pay your bill and if you receive financial aid you will be reimbursed.
- Meet with an academic advisor and register for classes. Your fall 2007 tuition will be due August 2, 2007. Click here for hours.
- Purchase your books.
- Attend classes.
