Grade Point Average Computation
DEFINITIONS
GPA
Grade Point Average
TERM GPA
A student's average for one specific term. All credit and credit equivalent courses are used.
CUMULATIVE GPA
This is a cumulative calculation in which only credit courses are included. The CUM GPA is recalculated each time grades are issued.
DEAN'S LIST
Students who earn 12 or more degree credits and who achieve a term GPA of 3.25 or higher with no grade below a "C" will be eligible for Dean's List. For more information, see Dean's List on the Glossary Page.
When you repeat a course, both grades remain part of your permanent record, but only the higher grade counts in your cumulative GPA. You may enroll in a course three times. A grade of "W" counts as an enrollment.
