 Men’s Basketball Coach Corey Lowery begins his third year as Head Coach as he leads his team into the 2008-09 season.  Over the past two seasons, Coach Lowery and assistant coach Chris Tarver have compiled a remarkable 53-8 record with the Blue Colts.  During their tenure, the team has captured back to back GSAC (Garden State Athletic Conference) championships, 1 region XIX championship in 2008, 1 region XIX runner-up finish in 2007, and a seventh place finish in the NJCAA Division III National Championship Tournament.  Coach Lowery and Coach Tarver have led the Blue Colts to National rankings as high as #2 in 2007 and a #1 ranking in 2008.  Many players have received individual accolades under Coach Lowery and Coach Tarver: Hensley Charles (2007) 1st Team All-American, 1st team All-Region XIX, 1st Team GSAC; Rodney Freeney (2007,2008) 1st Team All-Region XIX, 1st Team All-GSAC, only player in MCC history to score over 1000 points; Antwan Brinson (2008) 1st Team All-Region XIX, 1st Team All-GSAC; Manuel Perrotte (2008) 2nd Team All-Region XIX, 2nd Team All-GSAC; Kevin Womack (2008) Region XIX Tournamnet MVP, NJCAA Division III All-Tournament team.

Coach Lowery has coached on the Division II collegiate level, High School, numerous basketball camps, and now Junior College. A former player himself, Coach Lowery was a point-guard for Rutgers-Newark University and was a three sport athlete at Piscataway High School where he played basketball, football, and ran track. As a former assistant men's basketball coach at Bloomfield College, Coach Lowery helped lead the team to its third consecutive Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Tournament championship as well as their first ever regular season championship. As the former Hillside boy's basketball coach, he had an overall record of 76-27 and advanced his team to the semi-finals of the Union County Tournament, two Mountain Valley Conference championships, and two state sectional final appearances.

Coach Lowery has a BA in Sociology and Education and a MA in Administration Supervision.
