High school and college students interested in a career in marketing, as well as teachers and guidance counselors, are invited to attend a free College and Career Readiness Seminar on Tuesday, February 5. The program, which runs from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., will be held in the College Center at Middlesex County College. It is offered by the Career and Technical Education Partnership (CTEP) of New Jersey’s Marketing Project.
The event features a keynote address from fashion executive Mark DiBenedetto, a panel discussion on careers in marketing, five small-group breakout sessions on topics such as career readiness and job-seeking, and a networking opportunity. Full information is available at http://ctepmarketingtoolkit.org/newsevents/college-and-career-readiness-seminar/ or by contacting the CTEP Marketing Project at 732-906-2514.
“The College and Career Readiness Seminar offers solid information on careers in marketing for high school and college students, faculty, and guidance counselors,” said Til Dallavalle, coordinator of the CTEP Marketing Project for New Jersey. “February is national Career and Technical Education month, and this is the ideal event for those who want to explore career opportunities in marketing and business. We welcome inquiries from those who want to participate in the seminar.”
Hosted by CTEP’s Marketing Career Cluster, the College and Career Readiness Seminar opens with the keynote address, followed by the Career Development Panel. Participants will then have time to attend a networking session plus three of the five breakout sessions, which include How to Pick a College; Building a Student Portfolio; Business-to-Business or Consumer Marketing, Which One Is Right for Me?; Where Are the Jobs? How do I get hired?; and What It Means to be Career Ready. More information visit www.ctepmarketingtoolkit.org or email Dallavalle at firstname.lastname@example.org.
