FOREWORD

Middlesex County College is subject to the laws of the State of New Jersey, the Rules and Regulations of the Commission on Higher Education, and the Policies adopted by the Board of Trustees.

Board policies are intended to establish the guidelines for effective operation.  Administrative regulations detail the methods by which policies will be implemented.  It is incumbent upon all administrative officials to adhere to these policies.
The items in this manual are coded as follows:

  • 0 Subsection

In selecting policies for inclusion in this manual, the following criterion has been applied:

  • A policy is a general rule or principle, or a statement of intent of direction, that provides guidance to administrators in reaching decisions with respect to the particular matters entrusted to their care.ą

This manual, containing all policies in effect on the issue date, is provided to the Board of Trustees and administrators of the College.  Subsequent or amended Policies will be provided upon adoption.  Amendments will show the date of the previous policy.  Superseded policies should be removed and replaced with current issues.
