Change Order for Construction Contracts

POLICY NO. 5.8.0

1. Change orders on Board approved contracts for $1,000,000 or more for the construction, reconstruction, alteration, repair or improvement of buildings and infrastructure (“construction contract”) must be approved by the Board of Trustees.
2. As timing of change order approvals may impact progress of the construction contract, a change order in an amount less that $50,000 may be approved by the Chair of the Facilities Committee of the Board of Trustees. In addition, a change order in an amount less that $5,000 may be approved by the Executive Director of Facilities Management.
3. Any change order authorized by the Chair of the Facilities Committee of the Board of Trustees or the Executive Director of Facilities Management shall be presented to the Board of trustees for ratification at its next scheduled meeting.
