Residency Definition

POLICY:

TUITION – DEFINITIONS FOR PURPOSE OF DETERMING RATES

The following definitions shall be adopted for the purpose of determining tuition to be paid by students:

  1. County Residents – students maintaining a permanent domicile in New Jersey for a period of at least one year and in Middlesex County for a period of at least thirty days immediately prior to registration, as evidenced by a certificate of residence.
  2. Out-of-County Residents – students maintaining a permanent domicile in the State of New Jersey for a period of one year or more, immediately prior to registration, as evidenced by a certificate of residence but in a County other than Middlesex.
  3. Out-of-State Residents - students maintaining a permanent domicile other than in New Jersey or students who have maintained a permanent domicile within the State of New Jersey for a period of less than one year immediately prior to registration.
