Business casual attire, while usually not appropriate for interviews, may be acceptable dress on the job. But it can be confusing, and even worse, clothing that may be acceptable as "business casual" in one office may not be acceptable in another.

One thing for sure: jeans are NOT considered business casual. Unless your job specifically has a "jeans day", don't assume that jeans are OK.

Following are some examples of acceptable "business casual" attire for men and women.
