“Using Online Video and Image Libraries to Enhance Learning”
 
This workshop will demonstrate the use of two online subscription services that are available to faculty and students for use in the classroom, for review outside the classroom, and in online and hybrid courses.
 
The ARTstor Digital Library has over 700,000 images of works of art, architecture, and photography. ARTstor high quality images are available for download and use in educational presentations.
 
Films Media Group (a part of Films for the Science and Humanities) has a library of over 12,000 educational videos that they are rapidly making available online as videos with learning objects in a Video On Demand format.
 
The workshop will be facilitated by Brian Richards, Director of Instructional Design & Media Services, and Susan Altman, faculty member in the Visual, Performing, and Media Arts Department and Assistant Chairperson of the Department.

Co-sponsored with the Counseling and Career Services Department Find out about professional and ethical codes; limits to confidentiality; and what you can and can’t do with student records or say to a student’s parents, along with other provisions in the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
