Many of you are involved in significant campus work, have tried new ideas in your classes, or have knowledge and experiences about learning and teaching to share with colleagues. Please submit a workshop idea for Professional Day on Tuesday, August 26, 2008. Many of you have good ideas about how to use technology in your classes to help our “millennial generation” students learn. Please submit a workshop idea for Professional Day.
All Professional Day workshops will be held after lunch on Tuesday, August 26, 2008. If you prefer, you may hold your workshop during the 2008-2009 school year, or you may do both.

Anyone interested in developing a learning community should take advantage of a conference being held at Kingsborough Community College. Registration will be paid by First Year Experience. The conference is geared to teams of faculty, administration, and student services professionals who are "poised to create a learning community from the ground up and to develop an institutional team approach to bring back to their college." The conference will be held Tuesday, June 3 from 10a.m. to 6 p.m. and Wednesday, June 4 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
