John R. Herrling Ed.D., Director of Counseling and Career Services

Gina Bedoya Ed.M., Counselor Generalist

Rita Burton M.A., International Student Counselor

Counsels international students in academic and cultural issues as they adjust to this society and the Middlesex County College culture also provides general counseling services (academic, career, transfer) to all students. email: RBurton@middlesexcc.edu

Leslie Carter M.Ed., NCC, Counselor- Generalist

Coordinates substance abuse counseling. Provides personal, career, and transfer counseling. Special interest in working with African American students. Acts as Divisional Liaison to the Business Computer Science and Engineering Division. email: LCarter@middlesexcc.edu

Ana Class-Rivera M.A., Counselor-Generalist

Works to support FYE programs and provides support services to the Open College program. Acts as Liaison to the Social Science and Humanities Division. Provides on-site department services to the Perth Amboy Center. Bilingual (English - Spanish)

Barbara Gross B.S., Coordinator, Cooperative Education and Placement Services

Jason Holmwood M.S., Counselor-Generalist

Provides personal counseling on issues such as depression, anxiety and relationship difficulties. Also provides career, academic, and transfer counseling. Is a member of the Project Connections team, a comprehensive support program for students with learning disabilities. Acts as Liaison for the Division of Science, Math, and Health Technologies.

Sheema K. Majiduddin Ed.M., Counselor-Generalist

Provides personal, transfer, and career counseling. Acts as Liaison to the Business, Computer Science, and Engineering Division. Provides on-site department services to the New Brunswick Center, works with student athletes, and coordinates the Career Resource Center. Bilingual (English - Urdu)

Elizabeth B. Pajauis B.A., Transfer Advising & Articulation Specialist,

Advises students on both transfer and curricular issues as well as coordinates the services of the Transfer Center. Will see students with brief questions on a walk-in basis as well as by appointment. Charlotte Quigley M.B.A., Manager, Career Services

Lafayette Smith M.A., International and Transfer Counselor

Counsels international students in academic and cultural issues as they adjust to this society and the Middlesex County College culture. Assists students interested in the transfer process i.e. applying to colleges/universities, application fees & deadlines, high school and college transcripts, etc. Provides academic, career, general, personal, and withdrawal/leave of absence counseling. Elaine Weir-Daidone M.Ed., CRC, Counselor for Students with Disabilities
