Dropping and Adding Classes
WINTERSESSION AND SPRING 2009
You may change your schedule by adding and dropping classes. If you are eligible for web registration, you may add and drop through CampusCruiser/WebAdvisor, prior to the start of the term. After the term begins, changes to your schedule must be made in person by submitting a drop/add form in Chambers Hall, or by using CampusCruiser/WebAdvisor to email the Registrar’s Office at registration@middlesexcc.edu.
For developmental course withdrawal, a signature is required from your curriculum chairperson, the dean of your division, an academic advisor, or a faculty advisor. All signed drop/add forms must be submitted to Chambers Hall.
Wintersession 2009 classes dropped after 4:30 p.m. on Friday, December 19, or spring 2009 classes dropped after 4:30 p.m. on January 16 are subject to tuition and fee forfeiture. See the Refund Policy below for details.
Failure to attend the class or verbal notification to the instructor does not constitute official withdrawal.
Full-time students who are withdrawing from all of their classes must go to the Department of Counseling and Career Services in Edison Hall, Room 100. If you plan to return, we advise that you apply for a leave of absence.
WINTERSESSION 2009
•PRIOR TO THE START OF WINTERSESSION 2009 SESSION AND THROUGH THE FIRST TWO DAYS OF THE CLASS
Prior to the first day of class and through the first two days of a wintersession class, dropping a course has no effect on your Grade Point Average, and the course is not recorded on your permanent academic record.
•THIRD DAY THROUGH THE END OF THE WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
Beginning the day after the second class meeting of a wintersession class through the end of the withdrawal period, a grade of “W” will appear on your permanent academic record. The dropped course will be designated as having been taken one time, according to the Repeated Course requirement in the College catalog.
The last day to withdraw from a wintersession course is January 9, 2008.
SPRING 2009
The last day to withdraw from a spring 2009 class is April 9.
