Veterans’ benefits recipients must apply for admission to a degree or certificate program. Open College – Developmental Plans of Study have been approved by the New Jersey Department of Higher Education, State Approving Agency; however, students enrolled in Open College – Open Plans of Study are NOT eligible to receive veterans’ benefits.

The Office of the Registrar certifies the enrollment status of all students who apply for veterans benefits.  In order to be certified for veterans’ benefits, students must submit the following documents:

    1)      A certified copy of your DD 214 form, or “Notice of Basic Eligibility” (NOBE)

    2)      A printed copy of your online application through VONAPP, the VA’s electronic application web site, or a copy of your "Certificate of Eligibility".  VONAPP is available at: http://vabenefits.vba.va.gov/vonapp/main.asp

    3)  The Middlesex County College Veterans’ Certification Request form, available in the Registrar’s Office, Chambers Hall (must be filed each semester when requesting benefits).

To maintain benefits, veterans must comply with the Standards of Progress established by the College in cooperation with the State Approving Agency.  These Standards include degree requirements, stands and regulations, and the College’s Code of Student Conduct.  Failure to observe these regulations will jeopardize receipt of benefits.
