Partnerships
Homelessness and Education:
At Amandla Crossing, a transitional housing program for homeless families, corps members work with pre-school children and elementary school students, helping them develop their emergent literacy skills by reading to them, teaching them the alphabet as well as helping their older siblings complete their homework.

Hunger:
At Elijah's Promise, a community agency that aims to move low-income people "from hunger to wholeness", corps members provide support to its soup kitchen operation (e.g., serving meals, ontainig food donations) and social service/health programs by organizing health fairs and tutoring students in the job-training programs.

Literacy and Immigration:
At MCC's New Brunswick Center, one of the College's two urban outreach locations, corps members assist students from other countries complete individual reading and writing assignments, as well help them acclimate and become comfortable in their new culture.

Mentoring:
At a local public housing complex, Woodbridge Housing Authority, corps members become "big brothers" and "big sisters" to young residents, helping them with their homework, organizing enrichment activities, and providing them with recreational opportunities like basketball games, movies, learning games, etc.
Youth Civic Engagement:
At five locations, including the Woodbridge Vo-Tech High School, "senior" corps members help young people identify a community problem and complete substantial action or research projects to address their area of concern. In addition, they teach them about democracy and citizenship.
