Professor Balabkins received her BA in Russian Literature from Douglass College, Her MBA studies had an emphasis on entrepreneurial development.

For 12 years she and her husband owned and operated a successful bookstore in New Brunswick, NJ. They currently own Gramercy Realty, operated by her husband.

She presently teaches Business Organization and Management, Principles of Marketing and Salesmanship.
