Accreditation

Accreditation Status

The Middlesesex County College Dental Hygiene Program is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation.  The Commission is a specialized accrediting body recognized by the  by the United States Department of Education.   The Commission on Dental Accreditation serves the public by establishing, maintaining and applying standards that ensure the quality and continous improvement of dental and dental-related education and reflect the evolving practice of dentistry. The Commission on Dental Accreditation can be contacted at (312) 440-4653 or at 211 East Chicago Avenue, Chicago, IL 60611. 

Complaint Policy

The scope of the Commission on Dental Accreditation encompasses dental, advanced dental and allied dental education programs.  Copies of the Accreditation Standards for Dental Hygiene Education Programs are available in the chairperson's office upon request.  If an individual feels that the dental hygiene program is not in compliance with the accrediation standards or required accreditation prodecures, he/she can contact the Commission on Dental Accreditation.
