Applicant Information
Thank you for your interest in the Dental Hygiene Program at Middlesex County College. The following is information that will help you in your decision to apply for the dental hygiene program:
- The Dental hygiene program is open to New Jersey Residents only.
- Due to the nature of the clinical experiences in the dental hygiene program, students will be participating in a work environment that has the potential of exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious diseases. All students accepted into the dental hygiene program are provided with written policy and instruction on infection control protocol to reduce the risk of disease transmission. Policies and procedures on the dental hygiene program's infection control protocol are available to all applicants upon request.
- Before being admitted to the program, all health technology students will be required to complete a criminal background check. Inquiries into the background of students are intended to comply with the requirements of off-campus sites where students may participate in clinical practice
To help answer your questions, Middlesex offers Health Technology Program Information Sessions on Wednesdays at 3:00 p.m. and Fridays at 8:30 a.m. Reservations are required. Please call 732-906-4243 to make your reservation.
If you are unable to make one of the Information Sessions, It is recommend that you schedule an appointment with Desiree Brower. Mrs. Brower is the Admissions Counselor that works with our Dental Hygiene applicants. Please call us at 732-906-4243 to schedule an appointment.
Application Process
We will be accepting applications to the Dental Hygiene Program for the fall 2008 semester between September 15, 2008 and January 16, 2009.
