MAT129-HD (Precalculus) will be offered in spring as an Internet based so-called "hybrid course" created for students with a solid algebra foundation, who are highly motivated and proficient in computers.

"Hybrid course" is a name given to describe a course that combines traditional lecture, discussion or lab sections with online and other computer based learning. A hybrid course moves a significant part of the course work online and, as a result, leaves more time for more efficient learning in class.

Please note that some materials, quizzes, assignments, homework projects, and discussions will be offered through the Internet, but all major tests and examinations will take place in class.

Students who are planning to take MAT129-HD are recommended to contact the instructor teaching the course prior their registration.

Note: While most students agree that the online portion of their hybrid course is more convenient, they also say that
online learning requires more time, dedication, and time-management skills than more traditional classroom learning
