The Virtual Classroom is a teaching and learning environment constructed in software, which supports collaborative learning among students who participate at times and places of their choosing, through computer networks.

The Virtual classroom extends learning beyond the conventional classroom limitations of time and space — students can meaningfully communicate about scholarly endeavors without being in the same place at the same time.

Online math students are offered an opportunity to demonstrate unique abilities that they may have not been always able to exhibit in the regular classroom. Students are given an opportunity to work on their own pace, and their different learning styles are recognized.

In this class students use e-mail, work in online-working groups, take online quizzes and participate in an online conferencing.
They post messages on the Cyber bulletin boards and use mailing lists for the information exchange.
