Preliminary Rosters

Rosters come from the Office of the Registrar in Chambers Hall.  Preliminary Rosters are paper rosters that will be put in your mailbox on the first day of classes or mailed to off-campus faculty before the first day of class.  The roster will give you the name, address, phone number and email address of each of your students.  If you have a Campus Cruiser login and password by the time the semester begins, you can also access the class roster by using Campus Cruiser.  The following are instructions for accessing your roster through Campus Cruiser:

1.        go to www.middlesexcc.edu and click on the Campus Cruiser icon
2.        click on the Campus Cruiser icon again
3.        click on login (a tab on the top of the page)
4.        enter your login ID and then your password
5
.        click on Web Advisor
6.        click on rosters on the left
7.        use the pull-down menu to enter the semester
8.        click in front of the class section you are looking for
9.        the roster will be displayed and can be printed for
           your use

Rosters are helpful for taking attendance the first day of class.  A roster which has been generated using Web Advisor will be more current than a paper roster which might be lagging behind in its accuracy.  If you have a paper roster and a student is in your class, but not on your roster, you may add them to your roster if he or she shows you a printed schedule that indicates enrollment in your class.  A handwritten schedule is not sufficient.  If a student does not have sufficient proof, allow him to stay in the class for the first meeting only.  After that, the student must have proof to be allowed to stay in the class.

Students who do not have sufficient proof must go to the Registrar in Chambers Hall to have their registration verified.

10 Day Rosters

10-Day rosters are produced during the second or third week of class to verify class enrollment.  There will be students who did not appear on the preliminary roster who will appear on the 10-day roster. Any students who do not appear on your 10-day roster should not be allowed to attend any future classes without verification of registration. They should go to the Registrar in Chambers Hall to have their registration verified.

NOTE:  If you have access to Campus Cruiser and WebAdvisor , you probably
would want to check your roster every once in a while to
              keep your class list current
