Will students be added to my class if it is closed?

Dr. DeLucia will try to even out classes in the best way possible so that classes do not become overloaded.  If a student must be added to your closed class, you will asked to give permission for the student to register (this usually requires your signature in the Add part of the Add-Drop form).

Sometimes a student might come to your class before the paperwork has been completed for admission into your class.  Most instructors allow the student to stay for one lecture so that a class isn’t missed.  You should not allow the student to stay for more than one class without the proper paperwork

NOTE:  If a student wants to register for your class once it has met
one time, he or she will need a signature from you and the
Chairperson.  If the student wants to register for your class
once it has met two times, he or she will need a signature from
you, the Chairperson and the Dean of the Division.
