What is the evaluation procedure for adjunct faculty?

Adjunct faculty members are observed and evaluated in the classroom the first semester they teach and every four semesters after that.  The Chairperson or Associate Chairperson will visit your class for one lesson, observe what happens in your classroom and then write a written evaluation of that observation.  Whoever observed you will give you a written copy of the evaluation, discuss the evaluation with you and ask you to sign that you have read it. You will get one copy and two other copies are filed.

If you want information on the categories for evaluation, look in the Adjunct Faculty Handbook on page 5.

Where is the evaluation filed?

One copy of the evaluation is stored in Center II and a second copy is sent to HR.
