Campus Safety

                          On behalf of the dedicated men and women of the Middlesex County College Police Department, it is my pleasure to welcome you to Middlesex County College. The College Police Department is committed to providing a safe and secure learning environment in which our faculty and staff can prepare our students for academic success now and career challenges in the future. As members of the academic community, our officers and staff serve the college community with courtesy, pride, dependability and sensitivity.

The safety and well being of our students, faculty, staff and visitors is our paramount priority. We are committed to building collaborative partnerships to the betterment of our entire community. As members of the Middlesex County College community we all share the responsibility of maintaining a safe and healthy environment

The College Police Department is operational 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. There is always a police officer(s) on duty to respond to calls for service. Our officers are fully trained, commissioned, and armed. In accordance with state law under which they are appointed, officers have

“…all powers of police and constables in criminal cases and offenses of the law throughout the State of New Jersey.” (Source: N.J.S. 18A: 6-4.2)

Our police officers are trained as first responders for medical emergencies.

Police and public safety services include crime prevention, lost & found property control, emergency/disaster management, crime & accident investigation, parking enforcement, security escort services, building security and vehicle assistance with breakdowns & lockouts.
