Attention all students,
The new FAFSA (Free application for Federal Student Aid) is now available to reapply for financial aid for the Fall 2008 term online at fafsa.ed.gov. Do not wait to reapply! Applying early will allow our office adequate time to process your aid.
You will need the following information to complete the FAFSA.
- Your federal PIN number for you and your parent (if you are a dependent student). If you have forgotton it go to pin.ed.gov to have it resent.
- Your (and your parents, if applicable) 2007 federal tax return.
- Make sure you add Middlesex County College's school code to the application. It is 002615. Without this code your application will never be sent our office.
Once you complete the application online it will take the federal government 10-14 days to process and send the application to our office. If you complete the paper FAFSA allow 4-6 weeks before our office to receive your application. All students are required to complete an Authorization form, which allows Middlesex County College to apply any aid you are eligible to your account. In addition, the federal government randomly selects 30% of all college students for a process called verification. This means we are required to collect a copy of you (and your parents) tax return, and also complete a form called a verification worksheet. We are required to verify that the income you put on your FAFSA matches your income.
