As you are certainly aware, numerous cases of the H1N1 influenza have been reported throughout the nation. We anticipate that as flu season approaches, that number will increase. It is important for the College community to be aware and to take precautions, but not to become frightened or to panic. There is absolutely no cause for alarm at the present time.
The experts say that influenza is spread mainly from person-to-person, through coughing or sneezing. Avoid people who are ill.
Hand sanitizers will be handed out at the Health and Safety Fair October 8. They will also be available in the Health and Safety Office in South II.
You may wish to receive a vaccination for the seasonal flu and/or the H1N1 virus. The seasonal flu vaccination may be administered at any time; the H1N1 vaccination is being developed and may be administered when it becomes available.

The College is monitoring the situation and is in contact with the Middlesex County Health Department. We will update this website as conditions change, so please check back frequently.
