Request for Proposals to Develop Online Courses  In support of the Strategic Plan's goal to expand hybrid and online course offerings the College is providing opportunities for faculty to submit proposals to develop online distance or hybrid courses. If you would like to apply to develop an online distance or hybrid course you please contact Brian Richards, Director of Instructional Design & Media Services on ext 2618 or by e-mail to BRichards@middlesexcc.edu  Please discuss development priorities with your Department Chairperson.  The current round for proposals closed on February 29, 2008.  The next round will open in August 2008 ---------------------------------------------------------  SLOAN Consortium Premium Memebership The College has joined The SLOAN Consortium, and every person at our institution is considered a Premium Member, who needs their own Sloan-C account log-in and password. If you have a free account already, you may use your existing account information to log into www.sloan-c.org to access particular sections and certain Premium Member resources. The same log-in information is used to access, http://epremium.sloan-c.org which was specifically designed for Premium Members. Account Set-Up /Log-in Instructions If you do not have an account already, you can create one at http://www.sloan-c.org/aboutus/help.asp Scroll down the page and choose the option that says “Activate My Own Membership Under My Institution/Organization.” Once the registration has been submitted, it will be cleared through the system. Please note that this process is not automatic and that you should be able to access the website within seven working days. It is also recommend that you read the new report, available freely on the public SLOAN –C website that shows nationwide online enrollments are growing faster than ever -- there are over 3.1 million students learning online.
