As the Director of Instructional Design and Media Services at Middlesex County College, I am responsible for managing Media Services and providing Instructional Design Services for faculty, for furthering
the development of e-learning, for administration of the College’s learning management systems, for selection and purchase of technology and media resources, and serving as liaison to the New Jersey Virtual Community College Consortium (NJVCCC) and the New Jersey Higher Education Network (NJ Edge.Net).

I was born and raised in London, England. I gained a Bachelor of Science degree from Sussex University and a PGCE at the University of Reading, following teaching experience in London, I worked in Media Services at the City of London Polytechnic and taught at the English Language Center of the King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah. I studied Educational Technology at the University of Bath and obtained a Masters Degree in Education in 1983.

I began working with the application of Microcomputers in Education in 1982 and worked as a Research and Development Officer integrating Information Technology across the curriculum in Further and Higher Education. In 1987 I set up my own consulting business in Research and Development on the applications of Information Technology for Education and Training.

I joined the City of Bath College in 1991 as Open Learning Development Officer, coordinating projects with European Academic and Commercial partners on EU funded programs to introduce Open and Distance Learning within the Highway Industry and also introducing Multimedia into Art and Design Education in Romania.

In 1995 I moved to support the development of the applications of Information Technology within the City of Bath College. Working with Academic and Services staff on the development of Online learning, E-mail systems, Internet and Intranet web sites, Multi-media conference facilities and Video conferencing systems. Further developments were in the context of significant upgrades to the Campus network, enabling all staff and students to access and use high speed switched networking, broad band internet access and Microsoft Office 2000 software and development tools.

I joined Middlesex County College in April 2000.

My personal interests include walking, travel, photography and enjoying a wide range of contemporary and live music.
