 ARTstor is a non-profit initiative, founded by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, with a mission to use digital technology to enhance scholarship, teaching and learning in the arts and associated fields. The ARTstor Digital Library Charter Collection is:

  • A repository of hundreds of thousands of digital images and related data;
  • The tools to actively use those images; and
  • A restricted usage environment that seeks to balance the rights of content providers with the needs and interests of content users.

The roots of ARTstor, as well as its name, can be traced to the Foundation's creation of JSTOR, another independent non-profit initiative. JSTOR's goal is to serve the scholarly community by building, making available, and preserving a reliable and comprehensive archive of important scholarly journal literature. As of December 2005, the JSTOR archive contained over 19 million pages, with over 550 journals from more than 350 publishers. The JSTOR archive is available to authorized users from more than 2,500 institutions in over 90 countries and is still growing in scope and participation.

Bibliography of the History of Art indexes and abstracts articles, art-related books, conference proceedings, dissertations, and art exhibition and dealer's catalogs. This extensive and comprehensive index covers European and American art from late antiquity to the present. Biography Reference Bank contains biographical information on approximately half a million people, from antiquity to the present, along with thousands of images. It contains the full text of the articles from more than 100 volumes of biographical reference books published by H. W. Wilson, including all the articles from all volumes of Current Biography, the World Author Series, Nobel Prize Winners, World Artists, World Film Directors, American Reformers, and numerous biographical books on musicians and composers throughout history.

Biomedical Reference Collection: Comprehensive is designed for doctors, research scientists, students, clinical specialists and managers, this database provides nearly 900 full text journals, including nearly 850 peer-reviewed publications, covering virtually all areas of medical study. Journals available in full text in Biomedical Reference Collection: Comprehensive Edition are indexed in MEDLINE.

Britannica Online  includes World Data Analyst, Gateway to the Classics, andMerriam-Webster’s Dictionary of Quotations as well as new functionality including advanced search capabilities and Britannica Workspace, a research organizer. These changes are currently active for all Britannica Online users.

Business Source Premier  is the industry's most used business research database, providing the full text for more than 8,800 serials. Business Source Premier provides full text back to 1965 and searchable cited references back as far as 1998. Coverage includes virtually all subject areas related to business. This database is updated on a daily basis via EBSCOhost. 

Business Source Corporate  contains full text from nearly 3,000 quality magazines and journals. Information in this database dates as far back as 1965. Additional sources include more than 1,400 country economic reports from EIU, Global Insight, ICON Group International, CountryWatch, etc.; more than 10,000 substantial company profiles; and 5,095 industry reports. 

The Chronicle of Higher Education is the No. 1 source of news, information, and jobs for college and university faculty members and administrators.

CINAHL is the authoritative resource for nursing and allied health professionals, students, educators and researchers. This database provides indexing for 2,737 journals from the fields of nursing and allied health. The database contains more than 1,000,000 records dating back to 1982.

CINAHL with Full Text is the world’s most comprehensive source of full text for nursing & allied health journals, providing full text for more than 520 journals indexed in CINAHL. Of those, 240 are not found with full text in any version of Academic Search, Health Source, or Nursing & Allied Health Collection. LexisNexis is a very large database covering over 5,600 publications, most of which are available in full text. It is especially useful for legal research. Coverage of current news and business information is also extensive. LexisNexis Academic contains the following content segments, each of which must be searched separately:

News -- Full-text of more than 50 major English-language newspapers from the U.S. and around the world; More than 400 magazines and journals and over 600 newsletters; broadcast transcripts from the major television and radio networks; Wire services; Non-English language news sources.

Business -- Includes business and financial news, U.S. and international company financial information from government or private sources, market research, industry reports, and actual SEC filings

Legal -- Case law, statutes and regulations, legal news and law reviews

Medical -- A small number of news sources, consumer health sources, and medical journals.

  from the American Psychological Association (APA), contains nearly 2.3 million citations and summaries of scholarly journal articles, book chapters, books, and dissertations, all in psychology and related disciplines, dating as far back as the 1800s. 97 percent of the covered material is peer-reviewed. Journal coverage, which spans 1887 to present, includes international material selected from approximately 2,050 periodicals in more than 25 languages.

 
PsycARTICLES, from the American Psychological Association (APA), is a definitive source of full-text, peer-reviewed scholarly and scientific articles in psychology. The database contains more than 45,000 articles from 57 journals - 46 published by the American Psychological Association (APA) and 11 from allied organizations.
