CAREER INFO

FERGUSON'S CAREER GUIDANCE CENTER
   provides detailed profiles of more than 3,300 jobs and 94 industries, invaluable advice on career skills, more than 48,000 resource entries, and much more!  If login in from home, you need a username and password.  For Faculty/Staff login, please call or see the Reference Librarian at 732 906-2561.


OCCUPATIONAL OUTLOOK HANDBOOK  tells you: the training and education needed, earning, expected job prospects, what workers do on the job, working conditions.  In addition, the Handbook gives you job search tips, links to information about the job market in each State, and more.


New Jersey State Library provides a list of state sites that help with careers (amoung other things).

O*NET  serves as the nation's primary source of occupational information, providing comprehensive information on key attributes and characteristics of workers and occupations.

Mapping Your Future  is where you can explore careers, prepare for college (help with selecting a school and applying for admission), pay for college (financial aid!), and manage your money (student loans and more).

Jobweb  offers career and job-search advice for new college graduates, and is the online complement to the Job Choices job-search publications.

Wetfeet   provides insightful profiles of companies, careers, and industries to guides job seekers toward finding the right career, the right industry, the right company, and the right job for them.

CareerJournal  is part of the Wall Street Journal.  It features career articles and is has all sorts of career information.

Students.gov  is an official U.S. government web site designed for college students and their families. It provides you with easy access to information and resources from the U.S. government – all the info you need, in one place, from all parts of the government.

HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY JOBS AND CAREERS  is a blog generated by one of MCC's librarians.
