College Placement Testing, New Student Orientation, Group Advising

The College Placement Test (CPT) and English as a Second Language (ESL) tests are offered at the New Brunswick Center during enrollment periods. Testing is by appointment only as space is limited. Please allow 2 business days after submitting your college application for admission online to schedule an appointment. Welcome to Middlesex County College! The next step in your enrollment process is to sign up for a Group Advising Session and New Student Orientation:

step 1 Sign up for a Group Advising Session. Group Advising provides an opportunity to:

  • Meet with an Academic Advisor
  • Register for Classes
  • Receive your Registration Statement

step2 Sign up for New Student Orientation. New Student Orientation provides an opportunity to:

  • Learn about Academic Resources at MCC and the New Brunswick Center
  • Meet Current Students that Attend MCC
  • Meet with an Academic Advisor
  • Register for Classes
  • Receive your Registration Statement

Group Advising Sessions and New Student Orientation should only be scheduled if you:

  • Have been accepted to Middlesex County College
  • Completed your College Placement Exam or have submitted exempting SAT scores to Admissions (If applicable)
    Critical Reading: 540 or above and/or Mathematics: 530 or above

Group Advising Sessions are Not for:

  • Transfer Students
  • Project Connections
  • Students that have been admitted to Health Technology Programs

Group Advising Dates:

  • Tuesday, May 3, 2016 – 6pm – 8pm
  • Thursday, May 26, 2016 – 4pm – 6pm
