Middlesex County College Student Newspaper to Sponsor Dance-A-Thon to Assist Children with Cancer
Sep 9, 2008
Quo Vadis, the student newspaper at Middlesex County College, will sponsor a dance-a-thon with Prodigal Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit organization based in Woodbridge, to benefit children affected by cancer. It will be from 6 p.m. to midnight on Friday, October 17 in the College Center on the Edison campus.
“This is going to be an absolute blast,” said Corina Lombardi-Adamousky, managing editor of Quo Vadis and coordinator of the event. “The College radio station, WMCC, will provide the music and will be taking requests all night. Apryl Evans, a local artist, will perform. It’ll be a terrific opportunity to kick back and really have a great time. This event is appropriate for all ages; children are welcome. Most importantly, it is for a wonderful cause. The money raised will help Prodigal Foundation’s efforts in enhancing the quality of life of children affected by cancer. Part of the money raised that night will go to a local hospital’s oncology department. The rest is going to a family in Middlesex County whose child is affected by cancer. They are in severe financial need.”
Tickets for students with valid IDs will range from $15 to $25; general admission ranges from $25 to $35 for individuals and $100-$350 for businesses. They can be purchased through Quo Vadis. Visit www.quovadisnewspaper.com.
All packages include admission and dancing, food and refreshments. Any package $25 and over will include raffle tickets, which may also be purchased separately once inside the dance.
