Commencement 2008
The rehearsal for Graduation will be held in Edison Hall at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21
Graduation: Thursday, May 22nd. You must be in line in front of of Edison Hall at 9:30am sharp. The ceremony begins at 10:00am. In the event of rain, graduation will be held in the Physical Education Center
Graduates who have satisfied all degree requirements at the end of a spring semester and all graduates from the previous January and August semesters may participate in the May commencement ceremony. Those students who have two courses remaining for their degree requirements and expect to graduate by the subsequent summer semester may also participate in the commencement ceremony. Additionally, candidates for degrees in AutomotiveTechnology, the Culinary Arts Option in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management, Radiography Education, Respiratory Care and candidates for the certificate in Culinary Arts who are required to enroll in clinical courses in the summer session may participate in the ceremony. To be eligible, candidates must submit an application for August graduation by March 1.
Graduates who have honors at graduation will be given a gold tassel to wear with their cap and gown. Candidates who earn honors after having completed all degree/certificate requirements will be given a gold tassel when they receive their diplomas/certificates in September.
Degrees are conferred in absentia when candidates have received permission in advance from the division dean to be excused from the May commencement.
Replacement Diplomas
Students who have misplaced or lost their original diplomas may order a replacement diploma. The cost for a replacement is $10.00
Commencement Information
Middlesex County College conducts a commencement ceremony in May to honor all of the September, January, and May graduates. Information about commencement tickets, parking, and ceremony locations, can be provided by the Registrar’s Office. More information may also be viewed at the Middlesex web site.
