Vision

The Division of Student Development strives to create a learning centered, holistic and, responsive environment where each student is empowered to develop personally and intellectually.

Mission

The Division of Student Development is committed to the support of students and the teaching and learning process by assisting them to develop an appreciation for self discovery, a competence in critical thinking and a desire for life-long learning through the delivery of services that focus on counseling and academic support, leadership development, teamwork, information literacy, life skill development and, an ability to effectively use campus resources.

Goals

  • Provide leadership in support of college-wide student retention strategies.
  • Develop a regular schedule of appropriate student development services to the Urban Centers.
  • Seek opportunities to develop campus-wide, collaborative partnerships to further institutional goals.
  • Assist students in using the strengths gained from their cultural, physical, educational and, experiential backgrounds to achieve their personal, career and, educational goals.
