A word about loans.

The word loan frightens many students.  A loan is a big responsibility and some students have said they would rather "not go" than have to take a loan.  This is a very personal decision but let me just say this: If you were buying a new car, there is a fairly good chance that you would take out a loan. You would defend this decision by saying that you needed this vehicle to get to work and help you live your life. I submit that for that very same reason, a colllege loan deserves that very same defense.  After a few years that car will be old, have dings and dents and need to be replaced. But that college education will hopefully continue to shine and will have opened paths to employment opportunities which will allow you to afford that next new car.
