About Advising
All students should meet with an academic advisor each term to review curriculum requirements, to discuss career and educational goals (including transfer) and to discuss problems that may interfere with your academic success. It is your responsibility to meet all curriculum and college requirements.
As a full-time student, you are assigned a faculty advisor, usually from your academic program. Full-time faculty maintain a regular schedule of office hours. It is your responsibility to make appointments with your advisor. Names of advisors for full-time students are available through the Student Planning section of your Self-Service Account, the Academic Advising Center, and the Office of the Registrar. Full-time students are strongly encouraged and generally prefer to meet with their assigned faculty advisors. However, you are also welcome to seek assistance from the Academic Advising Center.
All part-time students are welcome to meet with an advisor in the Academic Advising Center or to meet with the Chairperson of their curriculum.
The Center has e-mail advising. If you have any advising questions, feel free to e-mail the Academic Advising Center. Please remember that federal privacy regulations may prevent answering certain questions via e-mail.
