On Thursday, February 23, the Middlesex County College Alumni Association in collaboration with the Visual, Performing and Media Arts Department held an event entitled Alumni Night at the Theater with a reception for alumni volunteers & alumni employees in the Studio Theater Gallery prior to the performance. The reception gave attendees who may otherwise not have gotten a chance to view the artwork of Alumnus Richmond Garrick ’96 were given the opportunity to do so prior the start of the play. The light-fare reception began at 6 p.m. followed by the play in the Performing Arts Center.

The Addams Family features an original story, and it’s every father’s nightmare. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met. And if that weren’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s ‘normal’ boyfriend and his parents.

The event proved to be a success and the play was enjoyed by all in attendance including College President Joann La Perla-Morales, Annie Hogan, Chair of the Visual and Performing Arts Department, as well as director Moggie Davis and many MCC alumni.
