Charles Hahn ’12

What have you been up to since graduation?
I went to Rutgers to complete my bachelor’s degree in Economics. Since then, I’ve been working at Prudential. I also married my girlfriend, who I met at MCC, and we welcomed our first son in May of this year.

What is one of your greatest achievements since graduating from MCC?
In addition to becoming a husband and father, my greatest achievement has been earning a bachelor’s degree, and starting a full-time job.

What is your fondest memory of MCC?
My fondest memory was joining Democracy House, a service-learning scholarship program on campus. It allowed me to serve my community and build friendships that are still strong today.

What was your favorite place on campus and why?
The Democracy House Center. While there, I was able to finish class assignments, unwind between classes, and catch up with other members.

What was your favorite place on campus and why?
My favorite professor was Rob Kim. He was a mentor to me and helped me get new foreign language class offerings approved.

If you could offer a current MCC student advice, what would it be?
MCC is a commuter campus, but I think everyone should take time to get involved with a group or club. My involvement in Democracy House and the Asian Student Association allowed me to gain confidence and leadership skills. I also became friends with people who are still part of my life today.

Why was attending MCC the right decision for you?
MCC was the right decision for me because it allowed me to get a quality education in a supportive environment. When I started at MCC I had just finished my final year of service with the Air Force a month prior, and it was the perfect college to help me transition into civilian life.
