Dorothy Bitetto ’69

What have you been up to since graduation?

After MCC, I graduated with a certificate from the Lester Polakov Studio and Forum of Stage Design in NYC. Combined with my Secretarial Science degree from MCC, I was hired at PBS/Channel 13 where I worked in production and post-production. Since then I have enjoyed a wonderful career in television as Producer in post-production with MTV Networks at Viacom.

What is one of your greatest achievements since graduating from MCC?

My greatest achievement since graduation was travelling the world and exploring different cultures.

What is your fondest memory of MCC?
My fondest memory of MCC is working on drama productions.

What was your favorite place on campus, and why?
The Theatre which back then was the old Raritan Arsenal Chapel (the red building off Mill Road.) It was a joy that has continued in my life, having designed over 150 theatre productions.

Who was your favorite professor, and why?
No question—Lynn Winik, Professor of Drama. She set me on my career path which changed my life. We remained extremely good friends until her death.

If you could offer a current MCC student advice, what would it be?
Appreciate the advice given by your professors, absorb the knowledge imparted, and always remember– your career SUCESS STARTED HERE.

Final thought…
In my heart I never left MCC. It meant so much to me that I returned to be active on the MCC Alumni Board of Trustees and now proudly serve as its President.
