What have you been up to since graduation?
Since graduating from Middlesex County College with an AS in Biology, I went on to attend Rutgers University in New Brunswick and obtained a Bachelors degree in Biology (Summa Cum Laude) and graduated from there in 2015. I then went on to continue my medical education at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark and expect to graduate with an MD in May of this year!
What is one of your greatest achievements since graduation from MCC?
I have recently matched into Neurosurgical Residency and will be training to become a neurosurgeon at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center in Michigan!
What is your fondest memory of MCC?
All the scientific lab coursework and working with classmates in teams to learn about biology and chemistry foundations in a hands on experience.
What was your favorite place on campus and why?
The College Center, because of all the events that would go on there, and of course whenever there was free food!!!
Who was your favorite professor and why?
So many great professors in Biology and Chemistry, impossible to pick just one of them 🙂
If you could offer a current MCC student advice, what would it be?
Anything is possible with your education at Middlesex County College! Your experience is what you make of it, and there are plenty of great professors that will prepare you to go on and achieve your dreams if you just believe in yourself and work hard enough! Never give up!
Why was going to MCC the right decision for you?
It was absolutely the right decision for me and if I went back in time I would do it again!
