Motor Vehicle Accident - Lot #4 - 27 April 2019 9:10 am

Vehicle #1 was attempting to park in Lot #4 when it sideswiped Vehicle #2 which was parked.  Both vehicles sustained minor paint damage. No injuries were reported. #I-2019-010731 – Closed C.


Criminal Mischief - Lot 1B - 23 April 2019 11:59 am

An individual reported to police that he parked his vehicle in Lot 1B at approximately 9:30 am on 4/23/19.  When he returned to the vehicle at 11:45 am, he observed the driver’s side door handle was fully extended.  The complainant attempted to manipulate the handle, but the door would not open and he could only gain access from the passenger side; he believed that someone may have attempted to break into the vehicle. There are currently no suspects or witnesses.  #I-2019-010303 – Closed B.


Criminal Mischief - College Center - 10 April 2019 2:12 pm

Police responded to the upper stairwell near Cafeteria C in College Center on the report of Criminal Mischief.  Upon arrival, police observed that the glass on the inner door had sustained a severe break causing the glass to spider web throughout the bottom half of the door. There are no witnesses or suspects at this time. #I-2019-009033 – Closed B.


Arrest - Lot #4 - 09 April 2019 9:22 am

A suspect was taken into custody after becoming involved in a physical altercation over a parking space. He observed a female getting into a vehicle and waited for the spot.  The suspect realized he was blocking traffic and moved to allow the traffic to pass.  Another driver pulled into the lot and saw the empty spot, parked and exited his vehicle. The suspect then got out of his vehicle, angry that the victim took his spot, grabbed him by the neck and shoved him against the car attempting to push him down. A passer-by intervened and called police. The suspect was processed accordingly. #I-2019-008912 – Closed A.


Disorderly Person - Library - 06 April 2019 6:10 pm

Police were dispatched to an area near the Library on the report of a male yelling obscenities and creating a disturbance. The suspect, who has repeatedly displayed the same behavior, was issued a citation and released. #I-2019-011563 – Closed C.


Harassment - Instructional Resource Center - 04 April 2019 1:22 pm

Police responded to IRC on the report of harassment. The victim stated she was tutoring a student when an individual approached her table and attempted to engage the victim in extended, unwanted conversation. The suspect then hugged the victim and attempted to kiss her. The victim was able to push him away and the suspect left the area. The incident was reported to the appropriate authorities. #I-2019-008461 – CSC.


Theft - Gateway - 02 April 2019 1:20 pm

An individual reported to police that his Nintendo Switch electronic gaming device went missing.  The last time he remembered having the device, and it’s accessories, was at Edison Hall Room 120.  At one point during class, he recalled that while his backpack was under his chair, he did sense a movement of the backpack but did not think anything further of the situation until later that night he realized the items were missing.
