Theft - Raritan Hall - 29 March 2019 3:14 pm

A staff member received bogus requests for gift card purchases not knowing it was an email scam. The victim complied with the requests.  When attempting to gain reimbursement, the victim then  realized something was wrong as no constructive information was provided on how to go about getting reimbursed. #I-2019-007918 – Closed C.


Arrest - Lot #1 - 27 March 2019 6:05 pm

An individual was taken into custody after it was reported that he was throwing bricks and rocks at cars stopped at the traffic light on Mill Road. The suspect was processed accordingly. I-2019-007748 – Closed A.


Dispute - College Center - 26 March 2019 4:08 pm

Police responded to College Center on the report of a dispute. Upon arrival, the two individuals involved had been separated after engaging in a verbal dispute. Both parties were advised to leave campus. No further police action was necessary. #I-2019-007588 – Closed C.


Assist Citizen - Gateway - 25 March 2019 12:59 pm

A faculty member reported to police that she was receiving disrespectful emails from a student who had been caught cheating. No threats had been made. Code of Student Conduct charges are in the process of being filed. #I-2019-007452 – CSC.


Suspicious Person - College Center - 25 March 2019 10:51 am

Police were advised that American Identity Movement (formerly Identity Evropa) had posted flyers on the Edison Campus on 3/23/2019.  Police retrieved the flyers and the appropriate authorities were notified. #I-2019-007449 – Closed C.


Damaged Property - Library - 25 March 2019 7:35 am

Facilities personnel reported to police that the lawn area behind the Library had been damaged. Upon inspection, it appeared a motor vehicle had entered the lawn area and made several looping tire-track marks exhibiting evidence of intentional destruction to the property. #I-2019-007424 – Closed C.


Harassment - Gateway - 22 March 2019 11:36 am

A female reported to police that after meeting a male classmate in College Center, exchanging phone numbers and agreeing to study with him, the male then brought her chocolate, touched her leg and asked her to have sex with him. The male then walked her to Raritan Hall and asked her for a specific date to which the female victim replied no.  Proper notifications of this incident have been made. #I-2019-007219 – Closed B.


Criminal Mischief - Lot #4 - 20 March 2019 1:58 pm

An individual reported to police that she parked her vehicle in Lot #4 on March 20 between 9:30 am and 11:00 am. Upon her return, the vehicle had been vandalized. There were 5 large scratches on the door. There are no known witnesses or suspects. #I-2019-007047 – Closed B.


Arrest - Lot #4 - 19 March 2019 10:11 am

An individual was taken into custody and charged with Criminal Mischief for intentionally keying a vehicle parked in Lot #4. The suspect and the driver of the damaged vehicle had an issue over a parking space. The suspect was processed and released. #I-2019-006919 – Closed A.


Emotionally Disturbed - West Hall - 15 March 2019 3:15 pm

Police were dispatched to West Hall on the report of an emotionally disturbed individual. Upon police arrival, the individual had already left the scene and police found her at the bus stop. The suspect had become upset over the College refund policy. Police remained in the vicinity until the suspect had left campus via taxi. #I-2019-006594 – Closed C.


Motor Vehicle Accident - Lot #4 - 06 March 2019 12:43 pm

Police responded to a motor vehicle accident in Lot #4. The driver of Vehicle #1 was looking for a parking spot and noticed one about to become vacant.  The driver put Vehicle #1 into reverse to gain a better angle for parking.  Vehicle #1’s rear bumper then made contact with Vehicle #2’s front bumper which was following directly behind Vehicle #1.

Police determined that the driver of Vehicle #1 was operating the vehicle while suspended. The driver was issued a State summons. #I-2019-005798 – Closed C.


Parking Enforcement - Lot #4 - 05 March 2019 7:03 pm

Police responded to Lot #4 on the report of a vehicle illegally parked. The suspect vehicle was blocking any passage to and from the last row of Lot #4. It appeared that the vehicle may have been in contact with another object as the driver’s side rear bumper was protruding from its side near the back wheel well while also sustaining fresh scratches. The vehicle was unoccupied. Police attempted to make contact with the owner but were unsuccessful. The vehicle was towed from the scene. #I-2019-005720 – Closed C.


Motor Vehicle Accident - Lot #2 - 04 March 2019 10:08 am

Vehicle #1 was backing up in Lot #2 during snow removal operations when it struck a fixed lamp post with a cement base.  The lamp post was knocked off it’s base.  Vehicle #1 did not sustain any damage.  No injuries were reported. #I-2019-005588 – Closed C.
