Middlesex College students go directly into great careers, or transfer as juniors to institutions all over the nation, including Rutgers, Kean, and Montclair State, as well as Columbia, NYU and Princeton. Our tuition is about one-third of a four-year school, and a fraction of private colleges and universities.

Students who graduate in the top 15% of their high school class may qualify for the NJ STARS program. These students receive free tuition to Middlesex College.

The Community College Opportunity Grant covers tuition and fees for students from families with an adjusted gross income of $65,000 per year or less.

We also offer a four-installment plan as a convenient payment option!

At Middlesex College, most of our classes are in the 20-24 student range. Our students come from every town in Middlesex County and some from outside the county. They are recent high school graduates looking to take the first two years toward a bachelor’s degree; others want to start a great career right after graduating from Middlesex College. Some may be adult students who have been out of school for a while, looking to upgrade their skills or start college. All find a welcoming environment here.

Campus Life

Middlesex is a diverse community filled with people who go their own way while respecting others’ differences. We know that not all learning takes place in the classroom. That’s why you’ll have ample opportunity to grow through campus organizations, athletics and community service. You’ll learn leadership and communication skills, budgeting, event planning, and many others. Plus, you’ll meet new people and have fun.

Students pay about $4,635 per year at Middlesex College. By going to Middlesex College and then transferring to Rutgers, you will save approximately $17,862 or more if you factor in the cost of room and board.

5 Steps to Begin Your Success at Middlesex College!

  1. Complete your Online Admissions Application and pay the $25 application fee.

    An admittance email will be sent to you via the email address used at the time of application.

    Apply for Financial Aid

    Note: You must declare a major to apply for financial aid.

  2. High school graduation/equivalency is required for acceptance to degree programs and course placement.

    College transcripts are used for exemptions and transfer credits.

    SATs, ACTs, PARCC, and NJSLA scores are used for exemptions and course placement.

    AP scores may be used for exemptions and course credits.

    Immunization records – all students registered for 12 or more credits who are 30 years of age or younger are required to submit a record of immunizations.

  3. After you’re admitted, visit netid.middlesexcc.edu and claim your account.

    Your NetID provides access to Middlesex College online services through Self Service, Outlook email, and Canvas.

  4. New and transfer students students who have submitted all applicable transcripts are invited to sign up for New Student Advising to register for classes. New student advising and orientation will be conducted virtually.
