Your Financial Aid Application Starts Here

Step 1:

Go to the following website to create your FSA ID (If you are a dependent student, one of your parents needs to create an FSA ID too). Tips: memorize your FSA ID or write it down. The FSA ID is your key to open, sign, and correct your financial aid applications.

Go to the following website to complete the FAFSA on the web. Tips: when you are asked to use data retrieval to retrieve your tax return info from IRS to your FAFSA, please make sure the address you input on the data retrieval form exactly matches the address on your tax return. 2017-2018 FAFSA requires 2015 tax return. 2018-2019 FAFSA requires 2016 tax return.

Step 3:

At the confirmation page of the FAFSA application, click “Start your state application” link to apply for New Jersey State Grant.
